Brian Tymann
Brian Tymann brings both experience and a strong knowledge of the local bays and waterways to the Board of Trustees. Having spent his entire life on the East End, he has enjoyed both freshwater and saltwater fishing with his father since he was a young boy. His love for nature and aquatic recreation led him to study environmental science in college, and upon graduating from Southampton College, he formed his own company at the age of 21, which specialized in designing, building, maintaining and consulting on freshwater ponds and lakes. After 10 years in business, Brian has re-directed his efforts to a new business, and is currently the Director of Operations for a renewable energy company based in Southampton, called Sun Stream USA, LLC.
In 2004 he was appointed to the Southampton Town Conservation Board as the youngest member of the 7 member board. Currently he is the Vice Chairman of the Southampton Town Republican Committee, a board member for the East End Advisory Council of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Long Island, a member of the Shinnecock Marlin and Tuna Club, a Director on the Suffolk County Young Republican's Executive Board, and has served on the Suffolk County Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) and the Gabreski Airport Community Advisory Board (CAB).
Brian is an avid traveler, fisherman, musician, artist and beach volleyball competitor, and currently resides in Westhampton Beach.
